Rock n’ Retro Jonathan Charles travels to the 1950’s for their Detroit Collection, introduced at Spring High Point Market.
June 2013 - Jonathan Charles travels to the 1950’s for their Detroit Collection, introduced at Spring High Point Market. Heavily influenced by American diners, classic cars, and rock n’ roll (with a dash of James Dean), Jonathan Charles marries the era’s iconic elements with their signature artisan craftsmanship. Exquisite hand-crafted details from the four-piece collection like the cascading steel drawer pulls and retro-fitted Hyedua wood veneer display Jonathan Charles’ ability to both preserve the nostalgia and translate it for today’s eclectic lifestyles.
“To me, the 50’s era embodied attitude – from Pollack to Elvis to even those suave Mustangs – so I wanted people to relive that cultural era through this collection.”
-Jonathan Sowter, CEO and head designer.
